Up, up, and away...

Well the summer is over and the kids are back to school. “Yay”, I hear you all cry. It does mean more traffic around school run time but every cloud has a silver lining and that comes in the form of time. Time to think, write and record and hopefully get more episodes out on a far more regular basis. So the gray cells are working overtime and hopefully what I have planned will entertain you over the coming months. The next episode will also feature our new sponsor which I’m really excited about so watch this space and look out for the banners coming soon. I’ve also got a script of legendary proportions to read for the sponsor so again keep your ears peeled on the next episode.

The other thing I’m very excited about are the scripts for the next 3 episodes of Beta Flight. Writer Alan White has pushed me to my vocal limits with these and I can’t wait to hear the finished episodes, so watch Broken Sea for progress reports. Matinee Idles are recording their horror episodes ready for release during the month of October and you can expect some guests who are sure to scare and hopefully crack a smile.

That’s really all from me but i just wanted to say thanks again for all your support and I hope you like what myself and my buddies are going to provide your ear holes very soon.

Be Well

What's going down...

What a month! The boiler broke, the oven broke, the car broke, the fridge broke and the front door broke. So the household gremlins were certainly out in force and wreaking havoc on the Burdens. That being said Joe had an awesome birthday and is now fully immersed in the world of Pokemon. He got a Nintendo DS and the new Pokemon game and is obsessed with what’s in his bag and how things evolve. I found comfort in the pages of Scott Pilgrim this month and am now plunged into the depraved, stomach churning, uncomfortable but awesome Crossed by Garth Ennis. This is not a book for the weak of heart, but as Mr. Chris Neseman said "you cant look away".

I've recorded 2 episodes of Burden’s World this month and they should be out over the next couple of weeks. Episode 4 answers some listener questions while addressing the plague of Twilight, and episode 5 was really a joy for me as I got to chat with my buddy and producer of the show Joey Aulisio and also Mr. David A Price of 11 o'Clock Comics fame. I talked with Chris Neseman a few months back on Matinee Idles and now here I am chilling with another 11 o'Clocker. I've listened to that show every week for 115 weeks. That was the first podcast I ever listened to and being able to just chill out and talk to Chris and David about anything and everything was a genuine treat. He's a real gent! When I say everything, I mean everything. It was literally everything from cab drivers to Canada, from the Office to The Karate Kid and beyond. We went there! So look out for those 2 episodes in the coming weeks and tell me what you think.

There will be a contest announced, with an Eddie Izzard themed prize for the winner. More details will of course follow. I'm doing this for fun and I get such a kick out of your input. Thanks for listening and checking out the blog. As my buddy Alec Berry would say "If you like it then tell your mom".

Be Well
